I am a lecturer at Boston University, College of Arts & Sciences, Department of Economics.

My academic journey began with undergraduate studies in mathematics, followed by a master’s degree in economics at Bogazici University in Turkey. I attained my Ph.D. in economics at the University of Connecticut in 2009, focusing on matching markets with correlated preferences.

My professional path has taken me through various teaching positions, including roles at Eastern Connecticut State University, Quinnipiac University, and Yasar University in Turkey. Prior to my current role, I served as a visiting assistant professor at the University of Hartford.

My primary research area is Sports Economics, with a recent focus on empirical analysis, particularly exploring gender participation in sports. Additionally, I serve as an associate editor for Humanities & Social Sciences Communications. You can find more information about me on this website.
